Joblessness up in county, down in LaGrange
Joblessness in Troup County and LaGrange dropped more than 1 percentage point from December 2010 to this past December.
Despite sliding from 11.4 percent in 2010 to 10.3 percent in 2011, Troup County’s unemployment rate was up in December compared to November.
Isakson, Chambliss Join Bipartisan Group of 42 Senators in Introducing Legislation to Approve Keystone XL Pipeline

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., and Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., along with 42 of their Senate colleagues today announced that they will introduce legislation to approve the Keystone XL pipeline project under Congress’ authority enumerated in the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution, Article 1, Section 8.
